Have you packed on the pounds over the years? Ordinarily you wouldn’t carry around a sack or two of cement mix, yet that’s what being overweight is like. It makes no sense.
Yet I was one who carried around an extra 50 pounds! I knew better, but my habits were working against me. Fortunately, I was in a non-sick state—meaning the consequences of my obesity had yet to translate into Type 2 Diabetes or cholesterol problems. I was beginning to see my blood pressure elevate beyond normal levels. Today, all remain normal!
I realized that it wasn’t lack of discipline on my part. It was lack of discipline to a system that works. I didn’t need a diet, I need a systematic overhaul to my nutritional approach and my health coach helped me.
I had so many common misconceptions about eating and exercise that it is no wonder I packed on the pounds. I was literally preventing my body from letting go of the fat. I discovered that not all weight loss is the same. Healthy weight loss protects lean muscle mass. I didn’t even know what lean muscle mass was!
